Zeller Writing Company
A tradition of quality, a passion for service

The Zeller Writing Company founder, Aaron Zeller, was born into a family of woodworkers and carpenters. Working with his hands, he learned the values of hard work and quality craftsmanship early on. His grandfather, Elmer A. Zeller (b. 1915), believed that the best things in life are built out of love and dedication - and he worked every day to pass that belief onto his children, who then passed it along to their children.

It was early 2012 when Elmer passed away, and it was later that same year when we decided to honor his memory by founding The Zeller Writing Company as an outlet to offer the family's handmade woodworks to the world, crafted in the tradition of quality passed down from Elmer. Each handmade product bearing the Zeller family name is backed by generations old stories of fathers showing their children how to hold a nail before hammering, saw dust and dirt tracked through houses, and late nights spent sanding and finishing a new piece - all fueled by the love and dedication instilled by Zeller family patriarchs. It was that same love and dedication which guided us toward our exciting change in late 2014, shifting our focus to help writers grow in their craft - something that we are equally passionate about.

Today, The Zeller Writing Company strives to provide writers and enthusiasts with some of the best information, inspirations, and tips to help them develop their skills, along with a growing catalog of over 500 high quality products. No matter if you take advantage of our exemplary customer service, our memorable order presentation, or just read an article or two on our blog, we hope you'll find something of value and that we have a positive influence on your writing experience.

Our Values

Be Honest

“To conceal anything from those to whom I am attached, is not in my nature. I can never close my lips where I have opened my heart.”
-Charles Dickens

Be Humble

“There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.”
-Ernest Hemingway

Be Determined

“But it is a blessed provision of nature that at times like these, as soon as a man's mercury has got down to a certain point there comes a revulsion, and he rallies. Hope springs up, and cheerfulness along with it, and then he is in good shape to do something for himself, if anything can be done.”
-Mark Twain, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court

Be Passionate About Serving

“So,long as we love we serve; so long as we are loved by others, I would almost say that we are indispensable; and no man is useless while he has a friend.”
-Robert Louis Stevenson,Lay Morals

Love What You Do

“I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. He taught me that if you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.”
-Roald Dahl, My Uncle Oswald
