The Clairefontaine DCP paper promises a smooth writing experience. The paper color leans toward a bluish white hue (as opposed to an ivory or creamy look). Fountain pen ink used on the paper pops beautifully. There is no feathering at all, no see-through on the reverse side making it possible to use both sides of the paper. I used a platinum Preppy EF with Blue ink, a Scheaffer School Medium nob with Scheaffer Skrip purple ink and a Waterman Phileas medium nib (writes more like a broad) with Pilot Iroshizoku Kon Peki. The paper held up beautifully. Beware, however, that when I tried a BIC permanent Mark-it Marker, there was a lot of see-through, still no feathering though. I am more than satisfied with this paper. Having it withstand the BIC marker would have been a gift, but I still highly recommend it.
